The DSA just rapped up their National Convention on November 15th (2009). According to their "resolution on priorities" they will prioritize educating, agitating and organizing (the socialist agenda). Agitating is an interesting word choice.
They also say they intend to speak "publicly" against the "anti-socialist" rhetoric being used to "mobilize populist anger against any reform that would modestly redistribute wealth, income, and opportunity in the U.S. Sounds like they're getting ready to fight those of us who aren't into this redistribution of wealth thing, i.e. Obamacare.
They plan to use newspapers, web, radio and public access TV to educate us.
They're planning a "new round of massive federal financial aid to state and municipal governments." It's also noted that a section on Immigration Reform will be added later by the NPC.
And.... they reasserted their "commitment to passing single-payer healthcare legislation at either federal or state level; supporting a meaningful public option;" are calling for massive cuts in "wasteful and misguided defense spending"; and a restructuring of the U.S. and global economy. Quite an agenda.
